HOUTOU today confirmed that a token labelled "FAMI" trading on Robinhood Chain was minted by a standalone 1,916-byte contract from a random wallet, not by Robinhood Assets, and has recorded zero mints and zero burns since creation.
Asked for comment, the Chairman said: "lol." The Chief Ear Officer declined to comment, consistent with its role.
In a move analysts are calling "refreshingly literal", HOUTOU disclosed that it is a mushroom, is backed by a mushroom, and intends to remain a mushroom for the foreseeable future.
"We looked at the 'FAMI' token and thought: what if we just didn't lie," a spokesperson said.
Revenue for the period was zero, in line with guidance. The Company noted that on-chain "FAMI" reported the same revenue and the same custodian, but under a Nasdaq company's name.

Hericium erinaceus, marketed as Hou Tou Gu, appears in Farmmi's product disclosures. The on-chain "FAMI" token appears in none of them.
"One of us is in the paperwork," the Company noted. "It's the mushroom."
